Explorers’ Corner 2012 Photo Contest: Win a Mediterranean Kayaking Adventure!

Enter the Explorers’ Corner 2012 Photo Contest!

It’s a great opportunity for you to showcase your adventure travel photographs. Not only will you earn a chance to have your image included in a future Explorers’ Corner catalog (with credit, of course, and retaining copyright), but the grand-prize winner will win an Adriatic kayaking adventure, paddling the islands and bays of the Dalmatian coast of Croatia and Montenegro with a side trip to Mostar in Herzegovina.

The 2nd-prize winner will receive a digital compact camera package that includes a Panasonic Zs7 Lumix compact camera, a Lowepro compact camera case, a Gorillapod tripod, and The Traveling Nature Photographer by Steven Morello. Third place earns the Atlas of Exploration (Oxford University Press).

How to enter?  Well, first, select your top prospects. You can submit up to three photos for consideration.

Pictures submitted should be from destinations that Explorers’ Corner visits; see all our trips on our website. Judges will favor pictures that feature adventure, and which incorporate destination, activity and human participation in one image. In keeping with our overall company focus, images that evoke humor, awe and/or excitement are also preferred.

The contest is open to submissions starting at 12:00 am MST on January 16, 2012 and will close at 12:00am MST on February 16, 2012.
